Rise Of Flight, World War I flight simulator
flyable Felixstowe waterplane / bomber, close up. You can be the pilot, one of the gunners...

Gotha GV
                  bomber close up, WW1

Nice WW1 flight simulation. Multiplayer (run your own server) / single play quick missions - careers - missions.
you can find it here

The basic game is free, it comes with a few flyable planes. If you want more flyable planes, you can buy them.
buy more than 5 at a time... 50% discount, approx 2,50 - 3,00 US$ per plane for most.

Note: 777 studios, makers of the game, was taken over by 1C ( IL-2 products ) and re-jigged into Flying Circus.... unknown how this is going to play out.
ROF is not under development anymore, it seems.
FC is imho expensive, and does not have all the planes that ROF has. (Gotha GV, HP/400, etc)

Good graphics / flight model / single and multi player / supports multiple sticks/pedals / good AI / mission design tool for SP and MP.
realistic physics, good damage graphics. Moving objects, trains, vehicles, AAA and guns (even the grass moves in the wind.........)

some screenshots here note: All planes are flyable IF purchased; one can be pilot or gunner on multi seat planes, also in online multi-player.

Rise of Flight is (still) working well on Linux + Wine. win7 or win10 bottle. Also still runs fine on real Windows 10

For install to be working, you will need to create account on rofflight.com, download the game and this : virtual C microsoft redistributable and mfc90.dll
The game will install, but before you start it:  install this version of vcredist first, and put mfc90.dll in windows/system32
Then start ROF and you must run the game update from there before you can play.

I tried with crossover from codeweavers.com, latest test running on openSuSE 15.x
Installation and gameplay / config works without a hitch. ( AMD 5 5600 6c, SSD disk, nVidia GTX 1650 graphics )
SSD recommended, it loads too slow on a normal spinning disk. Think 2 to 3 minutes. On SSD, 30 - 40 seconds.
